Healing Yourself with Your Abilities – with Your Self-Healing Abilities

I began in the middle of the disease. Out of pictorial imagination, careful sensed feelings, planful relaxation, posture and movement I formed my HeilÜben-exercises.

No one in their right mind would voluntary suffer any longer from a cold or a cramp than possible – the same it is with the stress-related RA.

Health takes effort, effort which lies in protecting, strengthening and loving yourself has to be first and mainly carried out by you. It takes your self-healing abilities.

Often we‘ll take this effort when everything isn‘t so fine anymore when an actual problem knocks at the door, and our level of suffering is high enough. At first, we walk on the unknown ground and have to make experiences, but where there‘s a will, there‘s a way.

The will to heal is a condition of every serious attempt.

There are two options:

At first, I can begin to heal in the certain knowledge that I will heal, with descends from my belief in my abilities.

At second I can choose to begin and experience my strenght so my knowledge of my abilities and the success they will bring can grow along the way.

Health is a process. It‘s always changing with the vicissitudes of life, with bot intern and extern challenges. Besides our everyday relationship-life, household, apprenticeship/job, we are our guardians of health, equipped with our self-healing abilities.

Self-healing from rheumatoid arthritis is work on one’s development which has to be taken seriously. Among other abilities, we train willingness to achieve, stamina and performance. These are in important general abilities.

To the benefit of the – at self-help – needed active learning, seeking, observing and trying over and over again until it works our comfort sometimes has to stay behind. Therefore we change our mindset which can come as an unpleasant effort for this kind of work we have to do on our own.

In return, our opportunities, our experiences and our point of view grow and change. These capabilities bring the benefits of meeting interesting people, finding more and better knowledge and give one the chance to explore the world surrounding us.

Additionally, we‘ll learn that in some cases some of our fellow human beings can‘t share newly gained experiences. They then might see them without any understanding or even get deprecating.

Which are these self-healing abilities?

They are our abilities to sense on the out- and the inside. They are our abilities to move, relax and use force consciously. They are our abilities to use pictorial imagination willfully. They are our abilities to use our intuition alongside our brain. And last but not least they are our abilities to feel love, gratitude, affection, and sympathy, managed by our ability to feel like the human at our side: empathy.

Every single one of these abilities can put to use to heal if we decide, and are willing to implement this decision:

consequent,

with every breath,

in every deed.

This means to learn a few new things, to change some habits which can cost time and effort, but it will move ones inner paths.

So back then every time I gasped inside I always knew what would happen to me if the RA could continue. „The Price is hot!“, was the name of a TV-Show back in the days. My price, for the status quo, would have been even higher than what the show master used to sell — a price consisting of pain and destruction.

But effort I had any way no matter if I chose the RA or my HeilÜben-exercises. So I decided to sacrifice a major part of my comfort for my health. Living permanently ill or restricted, if I can somehow prevent it, does not correspond to my picture of myself.

Here’s an example of the self-healing effect of our ability to use pictorial imagination: one of the first-level healing exercises is to think in terms of health intensively, to shape a health-reality.

In the middle of the disease, I began to shape my health-reality. Three points are particularly important here:

-We are always in control anyway, whether consciously (the smaller part) or subconsciously (the much bigger part) and are influenced from the outside.

-It is possible for us to consciously improve at our control over the use of force, over relaxation as well as over our posture.

To improve at our self-control, we consciously focus on self-chosen and self-formed mental images of our healthy body, for our thoughts, our conscious notions of health are becoming more and more tangible to our physical reality.

Consistently used and combined with the other self-healing abilities, they prevail.

Our consciously shaped pictorial-imagination over time gains an increasing influence on our bodily processes.

Through them, our body receives varied and incessant pictures of health. And to them, the body will align.

For good or ill, my body can‘t go against my thoughts or my imagination, for he forms a unity with their source: the mind.

I successfully used this circumstance for myself.

Today I have more and conscious influence on my body than before my healing from RA.

And when it comes to healing, it is like everything else: You can‘t make something out of nothing.

I had to practice this new approach to the familiar. Against every single sign of rheumatism, I used images of absolute health. Thereby it was of the utmost importance to never use pictures of the transformation from a sick to a healthy body, from the decline of inflammation to healing, for example, because even this procedure would still contain a pictorial imagination of the disease and for that preserve it. Back in the days I used such pictures but discovered that it is more effective to completely dispense with such syndromes because of their negative effects, no matter how they might be used.
