Why should you eat sugar in moderation?
There are many reasons why refined sugar is bad for you.
The main reason I want to talk about today is, YOUR GUT.
Your gut contains approx. 10 times the amount of bacteria than you have cells in your body. As you know, that’s A LOT.
A study from the University of Washington, concludes that, “We humans are mostly microbes [ bacteria, fungi, protozoa, and viruses]. We contain over 100 trillion of them. Microbes outnumber our cells 10 to 1. The majority live in our gut- mainly the large intestines”.
Of course, there is both good and bad microbes in our gut. It is when we start to develop more bad bacteria than good, that problems arise.
