“It is perfectly true, as philosophers say, that life must be understood backwards. But they forget the other proposition, that it must be lived forwards.”
Søren Kierkegaard¹
If I can describe my problem in detail, that’s already part of the solution. That is my self-assessment.
In HeilÜben exercises for Beginners, I share my experiences with you about how I developed my self-assessment and how it has contributed to my self-help as I first began with my HeilÜben exercises.
For some worries, putting them into words isn’t always easy. Pausing to intently examine my life with my illness and describe it to myself felt uncomfortable and seemed pointless.
I was looking for solutions, for a way out, just wanting to move forward as quickly as possible and get out of my rheumatoid arthritis dilemma. Yet while my desire for healing was far ahead of me, I was still stuck in the disease with the pain, the inflammation, and the limitations it brought. Instead of bolting to where I wanted to be, I first had to pick myself up from where I actually was, and was stuck. Having to deal with RA every day was tedious enough. At that time, my illness was still something that simply happened to me, without me having much control over it. I had experienced over and over that RA didn’t go away, and even my medication couldn’t cure it; the meds could, with varying success, only somewhat keep it under control.
It wasn’t before I could no longer bear the flaring pain and had lost any hope for help from outside that I began to focus on myself. To myself, I precisely described my situation and discovered connections I hadn’t seen or thought of, as well as details I hadn’t noticed before. Doing so gave me ideas about what I could try to help myself.
Only now it was becoming increasingly clear to me how much I truly knew about myself. Through growing self-awareness, I found more and better solutions for shortening and reducing my pain. The more active and effective I felt, the more my feeling of being at the mercy of the inflammatory joint disease subsided, making room for something new, for my HeilÜben exercises.
HÜ! Beginners by Manja is our online live coaching on Tuesdays, offering you a starting point from which to assess your current situation and decide on your first steps with the HeilÜben exercises.
Your personality, life experiences, aspirations, hopes, and wishes, as well as your current surroundings, will shape the foundation and starting point for exploring the technique and application of the HeilÜben exercises.
Additionally, we’ll factor in stress, specifically overloading stress, as an important topic here, as it drains us of energy. Identifying, reducing or closing such energy leaks by assessing your position in life makes the effort all the more worthwhile.
Think through your possibilities – HeilÜben exercises for beginners are based on my experiences. They work as an optimal introduction to the HeilÜben exercises.
